THE KING OF QUEENS revolves around Doug and Carrie Heffernan, a loving blue collar couple from Queens, N.Y., who share their humble home with her eccentric father Arthur.  After a long day’s work as a parcel deliveryman, Doug retreats to his home for some peace and quiet, which is often interrupted by Carrie’s slightly bizarre father.   Doug’s only refuge is the little time he spends alone with Carrie and the company of his buddies Deacon, Spence and Danny, who he turns to for advice that just might make his life better, if he only bothered to follow it.

"Arthur, Spooner" -- Carrie becomes frustrated when she's assigned team leader over a drab work group and Doug starts relying on Arthur for a good night's sleep, on the fifth-season premiere of THE KING OF QUEENS, Monday, Sept. 23 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Rob Schiller directed the episode written by Tony Sheehan.

            When Carrie gets her big break and is assigned team leader over a fairly lifeless group that's stuck working nights for several weeks preparing for a case, she realizes being the boss isn't all it's cracked up to be.  When the group starts lagging behind and turning against Carrie, she brings in Holly to lend a hand.  Meanwhile, while Carrie works nights, Doug begins suffering from insomnia and calls upon Arthur for some company.  When the two accidentally fall asleep watching TV together Doug realizes he just needs a warm body next to him and starts courting Arthur to sleep in the bed with him.

"Window Pain" – Carrie becomes fixated on trying to convince their new neighbors that she and Doug have a normal, caring relationship, on THE KING OF QUEENS, Monday, Sept. 30 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Rob Schiller directed the episode written by Ilana Wernick.   

When Doug and Carrie's new sophisticated neighbors overhear them in a heated argument, Carrie goes overboard to convince them that she and Doug don't constantly fight.  Meanwhile, Arthur and Spence disagree when Arthur is forced to ride the subway to his new photography class and Spence, who works at the subway token booth, won't let him ride for free.
