The latest from MGM on Stargate SG-1's future includes: With the holiday season behind us, we sci-fi fans find the New Year abuzz with casting news for our high-profile Stargate-SG-1 series. Not only is Farscape's Ben Browder (who played astronaut John Crichton) joining the SG-1 team in the series' upcoming ninth season this summer, but his former co-star Claudia Black is slated to appear as an alien in a five or six episode arc beginning January 28. And fans are asking, could a reunion be far behind? Recently, Browder said in a TV Guide interview that his casting was "not only a good career move for me, but it could be good for the whole Farscape cast" as well. Confirming the news, executive producer Robert C. Cooper indicated that flashbacks will link Browder's character to past adventures. And then there's the question of Richard Dean Anderson, who will no longer be a full-time cast member. More on that later.
