CORBIN BERNSEN TO APPEAR ON THE CBS DAYTIME DRAMA
"THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS"
Corbin Bernsen has been signed to appear in a five-episode story arc on the CBS daytime drama THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, according to Executive Producer David Shaughnessy. He will begin taping shows September 2 for broadcast starting September 25.

Bernsen will portray Todd Williams, a priest and brother of Paul Williams, a regular character played by Doug Davidson. Bernsen is best known for his role as Arnie Becker on the hit primetime series "LA Law."

"We consider Corbin to be an extended member of the ‘Y&R’ family," said Shaughnessy. "His mother, Jeanne Cooper, has starred on the show as grande dame Katherine Chancellor since 1974. This, however, is Corbin’s first appearance on the series."

New casting on Passions... going with an "unknown" once more.

Heidi Mueller, one of the daughters featured on NBC’s summer hit reality series “Who Wants to Marry My Dad?,” will join the cast of NBC's daytime drama “Passions” in the contract role of Kay Bennett - the scheming and manipulative daughter of Harmony Police Chief Sam Bennett and his wife Grace.

“We are delighted to have Heidi join the talented cast of ‘Passions,’” says Kalouria.

Mueller is set to start taping the week of September 8, 2003. Her first broadcast date is scheduled for Friday, October 24. “Passions” will mark Mueller’s acting debut.

On the reality series, Mueller was the opinionated daughter of Don who put his trust in his four kids to choose a wife for him. Through outrageous secret tasks, surprising revelations about each player’s past and “lie-detector” tests, the kids recently picked his fiancée.

ROB LOWE AND ALICIA SILVERSTONE HOST SNEAK PEEK AT NBC'S NEW AND RETURNING SERIES -- New NBC drama series stars Rob Lowe ("The Lyon's Den") and Alicia Silverstone ("Miss Match") host "The NBC Fall Preview Show" which offers viewers an upfront sneak peek at the top-rated network's new and returning series. In addition to their own sleek new series, Lowe and Silverstone introduce the flashy drama "Las Vegas" (starring James Caan, Josh Duhamel and Molly Sims), as well as the new comedies "Coupling" (starring Rena Sofer), "Whoopi "(starring Whoopi Goldberg) and "Happy Family" (starring John Larroquette and Christine Baranski). The half-hour special also features advance looks at such popular returning favorites such as "Friends," "Will & Grace" and "ER."

NBC wants us looking forward to the fall season

NBC kicks off the new Fall 2003-04 season as America’s top-rated network and will officially premiere its primetime season of new and returning series on Monday, September 22 - starting with the first ever $1 million payout on a special two-hour edition of “Fear Factor” (8-10 p.m. ET) -- it was announced today by Jeff Zucker, President, NBC Entertainment.

The special edition will be followed by the series premiere of the high-stakes drama “Las Vegas” (10-11 p.m. ET) starring James Caan (“The Godfather”) and Josh Duhamel (“All My Children”).

Except for the advance previews of the new comedies “Whoopi” (Tuesdays, 8-8:30 p.m. ET) and “Happy Family”(Tuesdays, 8:30-9 p.m. ET) -- which will premiere, respectively on Tuesday, Sept. 9 (8-8:30 p.m. ET and 8:30-9 p.m. ET) -- all of NBC’s new and returning programs will debut between September 22 and October 2.
