AWARD-WINNING ACTOR KEITH HAMILTON COBB JOINS THE CAST
OF THE NUMBER ONE DAYTIME DRAMA, "THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS,"
ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK
Award-winning actor Keith Hamilton Cobb has joined the cast of the CBS daytime drama THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, it was announced April 17 by Executive Producer David Shaughnessy and co-Executive Producer and co-head writer Jack Smith. Best known for his sizzling portrayal of Noah Keefer on the drama "All My Children," the daytime heartthrob will originate the role of Damon Porter.
His first airdate will be May 23th.



"Damon Porter is a brilliant, charismatic chemist who will have a significant impact on the Jabot-Satine conflict," said David Shaughnessy. "This former Atlanta rancher has an almost magical quality about him that people will find irresistible. He will immediately become part of the Newman/Abbott conflict."
"The writers have an exciting story planned and Keith's appeal and talent make him an ideal choice for this character" said Barbara Bloom, Senior Vice President, Daytime Programs, CBS Television.
Cobb, named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People," has won two Soap Opera Digest Awards and has been twice nominated for NAACP Awards. His other television credits include guest-starring roles on "Suddenly Susan," "Boston Common," "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and "Twilight Zone."

JORDAN SEARCHES FOR EVIDENCE TO SOLVE A 13-YEAR-OLD HOMICIDE
When the corpse of a missing woman -- kidnapped from a Boston park 13 years ago -- is found at the bottom of the ocean, Jordan (Jill Hennessy) zealously searches for evidence pointing to the victim's husband as her killer. However, when the physical evidence fails to support her allegations, Jordan must accept the grim reality that the murder may have been a random attack.
Meanwhile, Peter (Ivan Sergi) faces the horrific task of identifying his wife's body after she is brought into the morgue, forcing the young M.E. to relapse into his former life. Elsewhere, Lily's (Kathryn Hahn) eagerness to console a mourning husband creates problems when she compromises her objectivity.
Miguel Ferrer, Ken Howard, Ravi Kapoor and Steve Valentine also star
