San Diego Comic Con 2005 updates

 

There are some new faces in the stargate universe this season, and to judge by their appearance at the 2005 San Diego Comic Con they have already developed a great friendship and working relationship with their costars... and bring with them a respect for the show, and its audience that was apparent from the very start when Ben Browder came out, stepped up onto a chair and took pictures of the audience.


While Ben Browder revealed that he watched ALL of the previous seasons of Stargate to prepare for his character who has read all the files on SG-1 and looked forward to joining their ranks, Beau Bridges revealed that he had done a great deal of research on great Generals, finding quotes from them that he used to help understand how they think, and what kind of character they would exude when speaking. (And he seemed delighted that many of the quotes he found have found their way into scripts.)



Of course there was at least one time when I couldn't help but wonder what little secret the old hands on the cast were keeping from the newbies sitting beside them.
